Does it connect to my bank?
No. You can import a bank statement as a CSV or a text-based PDF, review it and post it. Catch8 never asks for your bank login.
A PDF made only of images can't be read, and Catch8 says so.
Catch8 suggests which bills and invoices a payment matches, under "To match". You confirm each one. Link a payment to the invoice it settles, and the invoice is marked paid.
What do the reports show?
See income, costs and profit for the period under Reports, with your own items. It is for running the business. It is not an audited account or a tax return.
Set a monthly budget for each category and see what you have spent against it.
Does Catch8 add up different currencies?
No. Each currency keeps its own total, and Catch8 never converts one currency into another. Where it does not have enough data for a true figure, it says "Not enough data yet" and gives the reason.
Switch between companies, or group them to see combined reports, still one total per currency and never converted. Company groups are part of Pro and Teams.
Can I get my data out?
Yes, any time: a CSV of receipts, one JSON file of all your company's data, and a ZIP of receipt images. Image links in an export work for 24 hours.
